The Jewish holiday of Purim begins on Wednesday. One of my fondest memories as a child was delighting in the vast array of Hamantaschen cookies: a filled-pocket cookie or pastry recognizable for its triangular shape. Homemade Rice Pudding
This is one of my favorite recipes and the ultimate comfort food. As a child, we didn't go out to eat much as a family but, when we did, we'd often go to Maria's, a local Italian restaurant in Baltimore. Aside from featuring amazing Italian dishes, I always ordered their homemade rice pudding for dessert. Lemon Buttermilk Cake
Sitting by the fire over winter break last week, I had a sudden craving for a thick slice of Mom’s Blueberry Brunch Cake. Why? The cake itself is deceptively light and tasty and can be enjoyed at all hours of the day. It’s just as good served alongside a cup of tea at breakfast as it is after a nice hearty dinner. Chocolate Covered Clementines
While I am away on vacation, I'm reposting some of my holiday favorites. Enjoy! The other night, I decided to make some chocolate dipped clementines while I was getting dinner together. I had a bag of the fruit sitting on my counter top for days. We peeled them, and dunked them in Baker's chocolate, and then sprinkled them with sea salt and popped them in the refrigerator to harden.
