When I first started sorting through Mom’s recipes, I circled all of the words that (at the time) were completely meaningless to me. Among them: parboiled, pin prick, blanched and CLAFOUTIS. Grilled Bananas (and Peaches)
It only took me 7 years to realize that our grill had been completely underutilized. Sure we’d cook the generic hamburgers, hot dogs and steaks, and maybe some veggies, but that was about it. It’s HOT. No one wants to spend time in the kitchen with the oven on. Instead, making refreshing, easy dishes that utilize the fridge and freezer are the ideal choices to help beat the heat.
