A couple weeks ago I was invited to the Cooking with Confidence event with Tupperware Brands and Chef Marco Canora! I had a blast enjoying various cooking demonstrations and testing out the latest line-up of innovative Tupperware products. I'm taking a break from cooking today to highlight a very important issue... In 1973, at the age of 2 years old, I was rushed to the Pediatric Emergency Department at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Unbeknownst to my parents, I had swallowed an entire bottle of Lomotil medicine I found while playing with my mother’s pocketbook. Lomotil is a prescription medicine used to treat diarrhea and contains a poisonous ingredient called atropine. They had no idea I had inadvertently overdosed and subsequently poisoned myself. Let’s face it, getting most kids to eat their veggies is an uphill battle. What's appealing about eating broccoli or spinach when there are so many seemingly tastier food choices? Chef Marco cooks with confidence....and Tupperware Last week Tupperware and renowned chef Marco Canora hosted a private Tupperware product and cooking demonstration in the newly-renovated Tasting Table Test Kitchen in Soho.
