Back by popular Jewish demand, enjoy Mom’s favorite Kugel recipe.
This version is semi-sweet so it does not include crushed corn flakes and brown sugar on top. But, I promise, it will steal the show at your holiday table.
Sweet Noodle Kugel

A semi-sweet version of the sinfully sweet noodle-based dish! YUM.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. wide egg noodles
- 4 eggs
- ¾ cup sugar
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 lb creamed cottage cheese
- 1 tbsp sour cream (heaping)
- ¼ lb. melted butter
- ¼ cup yellow raisins
- cinnamon and sugar to be sprinkled on top
Instructions
- Grease 9×13″ baking dish.
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook noodles in large pot of boiling water until soft.
- Drain noodles and let cool.
- Beat eggs and sugar together in large bowl.
- Add lemon juice, cottage cheese, sour cream and butter.
- Stir in cooled noodles. Add raisins.
- Pour noodle mixture into baking pan.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until top starts to lightly brown.
- Let cool and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mixture on top.
- Enjoy!
And, you don’t have to be Jewish to adore it, all year long.
