Who says picnics have to be synonymous with squashed sandwiches?
THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED…..
The holidays are upon us!
Is your inbox over-flowing with solicitations from every company imaginable; all hoping their product will make it onto your ever-growing holiday gift list?
While I strive to be a creative, thoughtful gift-giver, there’s usually not a lot of time for me to go running from store to store in search of that perfect present. That’s why I’ve always been a huge proponent of click and mortar shopping.
And, I’ve recently discovered the most perfect site to help alleviate some of my holiday gift giving challenges:
Have you heard of Perfect Picnic NYC?
Perfect Picnic is your artisanal solution for that creative holiday gift. In a time when anything and everything can be delivered in an instant or picked up at your corner bodega or supermarket, top-quality local products (cheeses, meats, breads, etc.) are not so accessible.
Perfect Picnic, run by two single-mom entrepreneurs (!), offers premium local products at affordable prices without stops at multiple stores or waiting in lines.
Each picnic (bag/box) features the highest quality products from local regional farms and purveyors. Items are sourced locally to support Perfect Picnic’s commitment to the sustainability of our local economy and the environment.
Perfect Picnic’s aesthetic is simple, clean, and beautiful — reflecting their belief and commitment to making sophisticated flavors simple. All Perfect Picnic products are simple to buy and simple to eat as well as fun, fast and fabulous!
When is the last time you actually slowed down and built your perfect bite with the perfect combination of ingredients and, ate well?
Picnics aren’t just restricted to bright sunny days and grassy fields anymore. You can enjoy your perfect picnic anywhere, from a park bench, to the office, to a nice comfy rug right in the middle of your living room, you’ll be transported.

OMG these picnic sets sound amazing!! Although I’m a firm believer that any food tastes better when eaten al fresco, if I had to choose just one favorite it would be cheese. Too predictable?

I have many favorites for a picnic. Being from the South, our picnic’s were all about fried chicken, homemade potato salad, coleslaw and of course…dessert.
Now that I am a New Yorker, our Central Park picnics are about olives, wine, hummus, other spreads, and all of the items you can pick-up at Fairway, Citerella, and West Side Market.
A frizbee, ball, and of course, great company always make it a day to remember.
I like sandwiches on a picnic…turkey, ham etc. And lemonade!!! 🙂 jenniferpeaslee at gmail dot com
